synopsis
Personal courage, totalitarian systemic pressures, and human tragedy collide in a series of air accidents in the times of communist Czechoslovakia.
This docudrama series deals with real plane crashes that took place between 1966 and 1977 in Czechoslovakia or involved aircraft registered under the OK registration code. It is a unique depiction of events with an emphasis on film quality, dramatic structure, and, in our environment, the unconventional narrative technique of docudrama, which combines the authenticity of a documentary with the visual appeal of a feature film in the form of dramatized reconstructions. The aim is to tell extraordinary aviation stories that reach beyond technical and human failures, showing aviation as a symbol of the prestige of ČSA and social progress, but also revealing the dark side of the totalitarian regime of that time.
