In a small Moravian town, the lives of two policemen, a mentally ill woman, a special child, and a couple running a family restaurant collide during a violent tragedy that changes their lives forever.

synopsis

Now and After takes place in a small fictional Moravian town in the Czech Republic. It captures the first experience of a country with a mass shooting inspired by the actual first Czech experience that occurred in a restaurant in Uherský Brod in 2015. The film follows 6 main characters in 3 interconnected storylines, telling their stories through parallel montage and showing them in 3 key points – NOW: on February 29 of the tragedy, and AFTER: one year later and on February 29, 4 years later.
